Important comments on the nutrition of milking cows.
DANESA produces 2 types of feed depending on the needs of your cattle: DANESA LECHERO PLUS 18% AND SUPER LECHE 16%.
Few animals are as stressed as those involved in the production of large quantities of milk, as for every liter of milk produced, 1600-2000 liters of blood flow through the udders. Therefore, if a cow is producing 40 liters per day, 15-20 tons of blood flow through the udders every 24 hours.
These 40 liters of milk contain more than 3 liters of fat, more than 3 pounds of protein, more than 4 pounds of lactose and more than ½ pound of minerals. All these must be replaced, plus all the nutrients necessary for bodily processes, wastes, and energy that support metabolism.
This is why producers who invest in feed for their cattle obtain high revenues as their cattle turn a high proportion of their feed into milk. Additional considerations in the feeding of milking cows include the tastiness of the ration, physical form, protein and minerals content of the feed. |
